TOGETHER WITH EUROPEAN PARTNERS - TO PROTECT IDP HUMANITARIAN RIGHTS

On February 3, 2022, the Chairman of the Board of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction Serhii Komnatnyi took part in the second meeting of the Steering Committee of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine for 2018-2022.

The event was co-chaired by First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Japarova and Verena Taylor, Director of the Office of the General Directorate of Programs of the Council of Europe.

The meeting aimed to achieve several important goals: analysis of the state of implementation of the current Action Plan and at the same time identification and elaboration of priorities during the development of the new Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine for the next three years.

It will be recalled that the State Fund, within its competence, cooperates in the field of protection of humanitarian rights of internally displaced persons - citizens of Ukraine with the Council of Europe Project “Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Building Solutions” (Project Manager Ms. Anna Hristova). Within the framework of cooperation between the parties, the best foreign practices and possibilities of their adaptation to Ukrainian realities are studied. Sustainable solutions are also being developed to increase the efficiency of Ukraine's public authorities in providing housing for IDPs. After all, this problem will be a serious challenge for Ukraine in the future to come.
